Adele Allison, President

As the senior director of economics and digital health strategy, Adele Allison monitors healthcare reform for SS&C Health, a leading provider of health IT solutions for payers, providers and pharmacies dedicated to improving the delivery and administration of healthcare in terms of clinical, financial and patient health outcomes.
Having served as the co-chair of the HHS ONC Beacon-EHR Vendor Affinity Group, Adele is a current member of the board of directors and co-chair for HHS’ Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) Payment Models Workgroup. Adele has nearly 30 years of healthcare experience and is a legislative/regulatory subject matter expert. She has been the guest speaker at dozens of national events, sharing her expertise on health IT, federal legislation/policymaking, healthcare reform and many other topics.
A published author, Allison is a member of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) advisory board on curriculum development and served on UAB’s HITECH Committee for health IT curriculum development; and, is the president of the Alabama Chapter of HIMSS.
Jessica Fowler, President-Elect

Dr. Chris Davis, CIO Advisor

Dr. Davis was promoted to Chief Information Officer / Chief Medical Informatics Officer of Brookwood Baptist Health in 2014, after serving as Chief Medical Informatics Officer since 2012. In this role, Dr. Davis has provided comprehensive, strategic IT oversight and clinical leadership in the ongoing development and advancement of clinical systems and technology for the System’s four hospitals, and primary care and specialty care clinic network. He has served in a leadership role in the implementation of electronic medical records with the Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, which works to maintain patient safety and encourage compliance with organizational best practices.
He received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also completed his residency in Emergency Medicine. Following his residency, he practiced as an emergency physician in the Emergency Trauma Center at St. John’s Health System, Springfield, Mo. He holds a master’s degree in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University. Dr. Davis is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Informatics and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and most recently has been recognized by CHIME as a Certified Healthcare CIO.

As an information technology executive with over 35 years of experience, Mr. Stephens brings valuable insight to health information technology projects. He is responsible for leading the use of all information technology capabilities and resources within a growing network of hospitals, clinics, and healthcare related facilities, to include telecommunications and biomedical electronics. His tenure at Infirmary Health System has been one of progressively responsible management in an integrated healthcare system. His experience includes strategic planning, emerging technologies, systems life cycle management, and extensive knowledge of health care technology vendors and their roles. Mr. Stephens has a proven track record of bridging the communication gap that so often exists between information technology professionals and other professionals within the organization. Mr. Stephens is a Fellow in HIMSS, a member of CHIME and active in many civic organizations.
